The Urgent First Aid® black permanent marker is an essential first aid tool for any bleeding control, trauma, survival, or first aid kit. 

In first aid, a permanent marker is used for crucial tasks like marking the time on a tourniquet to monitor its application effectiveness, outlining the boundaries of swelling (e.g., from a snakebite or infection) to track its spread, drawing around painful areas for diagnostic purposes, or noting vital signs and information directly on the casualty's body or a casualty card. 

In an emergency or a disaster situation, this URG Permanent Marker's durable, quick-drying, and multi-surface ink allows for marking critical information, such as identification on belongings, directions on man made or natural surfaces, or warnings to others of dangerous conditions. This pen is a versatile tool for communicating with first responders, indicating a survivor's location or condition, or even serving as a survival hack for fire starting. (A marker's ink can be used as a fire-starting material in a pinch.)
